South Shawlands Church of Scotland
On the evening of Friday 4th November, representatives from our B.B. Company - the 45 th Glasgow - attended a World Mission Evening in Lossiemouth, where they were presented with a ‘Thank you Trophy’ as the Company Section who contributed the largest sum in Scotland to the appeal in Session 2010.2011.
The presentation was made by the Right Rev. David Arnott, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
The 45th Company Section has contributed to WMF for many years, and the Boys are pleased to be able to make a difference to the lives of people we are unlikely ever to meet.
Each year, we contribute our weekly collections at Bible Class – and every Boy at Summer Camp is given the opportunity to contribute a sum from their own spending money to assist others who do not get a fraction of our income.
Our Anchor Boys and Junior Section BB Boys also bring in funds for World Mission Fund each year and are usually amongst the highest contributors in the Country.
