The Resource Library.

 

Just a wee reminder to people that we have a resource library in the church.  Most of the library is upstairs in the resources room, but a selection of books are downstairs in the prayer corner. These books are for borrowing - just write your name in the book, alongside of the title of the book you are borrowing. We get new titles in every so often, so there is often something new. If there is a topic you would like to see covered, please let me know and we’ll see what we can do!

SU groups in local schools.

 

One or two people have been asking about the SU (Scripture Union) groups in local schools. Just to confirm that the Genesis SU group for Langside Primary school continues to meet on a Tuesday afternoon after school in South Shawlands church. We have a regular group of 5-7 children who come along, and it is a good time to play games, do craft, consider bible stories, watch dvd’s etc!

 

At Shawlands Academy, there is an SU group called “The Edge”, and it meets at lunchtimes on a Tuesday. It is starting a Youth Alpha course at the end of January, and all Shawlands Acaemy young people are welcome to come along – it is held in Shawlands Kirk.
