Saturday 6^th of September 9.30am-12 noon Church conference! All welcome. One of the topics that came up from our day away at Robroyston in April, was the need to look at our vision statement, and to see whether it needs to be updated slightly. The statement says:

“Our vision is for our church to:

stand as a visible centre of faith

With strong and effective leadership

In which people find encouragement and support

In which people grow

In which the fellowship embraces and attracts young people”

Various ideas have been put together, and these will be available to collect on Sunday 24^st of August, so people can look over them and seek inspiration! 9.30-10am will be a light breakfast (sausages), and 10-12 will be the discussion time. Please come along, as this will be an important and creative time to shape our ideas for our Centenary year and beyond.

Sunday 7^th September 11am the sacrament of holy communion will be celebrated.

The new hymn books CH4 will be dedicated.

2pm Volunteers needed to help with the service at the Victoria Infirmary

Saturday 20^th of September 10am-4pm Church Open Day! South Shawlands church joins with Buildings across Glasgow to be open to

members of the public to come and explore. Volunteers welcome people would be great, and if you want to take

the opportunity to bring your friends and family along to have a look round that is also a good idea.
